Game Day
Today is the last game day for our MC Scots, and surprisingly, it is my first game. I have not been able to attend a game all season, so this will be a good first experience. Emily is in town and she is going to be going with me so we can have some girl time! It has been a busy week filled with homework, exams, and projects. I'm just glad it is the weekend. I have a 5k race tomorrow in Knoxville, so I have been training for that this week. I'm hoping to finish in 34 minutes, so we will see what happens. My good friends Chelsea and Yvonne are going to be running it with me, so hopefully we will be motivated. I also began taking kickboxing at the Rush. I've never been so sore in my entire life, but it is just so much fun. But for now, it's game day and I'm going to go cheer on my Fighting Scots!

Mundane Mondays
So today is Monday, and it is quite mundane. The bright side is that I had a dozen fresh Krispy Kreme doughnuts delivered to my room this morning before class, so that is a definite plus. I have class until 2 pm, and after that me and Chelsea Patty are going to run a little since our 5k race is this Saturday. At 3:30 we have a team golf meeting so that'll be interesting. Then at 5:30 tonight, we are taking water aerobics here at the college with all these old ladies. I'm pretty excited about that. Since we are so hardcore about working out now, we will probably go work out after that at the Rush. Being fit and exercising a lot is kinda our new thing. College is great and I am still loving it although I often feel overwhelmed. Emily is ocming home this weekend to see me and I can't wait to get a big ole hug from her. So for now, I'm going to continue on this mundande Monday. Go Scots!

While You Were Sleeping
So it has definitely been over two months since I have last blogged. That should just tell you how busy I have been. College definitely has its ups and downs, but I have enjoyed myself for the most part. My roommate and I have completely rearranged our room from top to bottom three times. I have competed in golf tournaments representing MC. I have made a lot of new friends too. I would have to say that my favorite class so far has been Art. It is quite easy, but loads of fun. We got to go to a real darkroom to develop photos and even had a pumpkin carving contest to celebrate Halloween. I am getting to know more and more people and as time goes on I feel more confident with myself and those around me. My neighbor Marissa has been great, and I often find myself staying up late in her room chatting and watching some Style Network. My classes have not really had any exams. I have had two biblical studies exams and I got a B on the first one and an A on the second one. I'm doing pretty good here at Ole MC and am finding a good niche. I just found out that the golf team will be traveling to Jekyll Island, GA for Spring Break to play in a tourney, so I am definitely excited about that. All is well and I will try to find time to blog more. Go Scots!

One Week Later
So classes began on Wednesday. 16 hours sure is a lot of classes, but I'm certain I can handle it. Although my classes are by no means easy, I'm still gonna work 110% to get a high GPA. My favorite class thus far would have to be art. Based upon the syllabus, we are going to be having a pumpkin carving contest, a battle of the bands contest, and even get to go to a darkroom and develop our own pictures. I'm loving life here at MC. My roommate went home last night so my best friend Ashley came and stayed the night with me. We actually managed to stay up past 2 am, which is definitely a record for us. Life is so good and college is way better than I even imagined. So until then, Be Cool!

Halfway There
Another interesting day. I slept until noon. Had some brunch then went on a canoeing trip with my orientation group. Talk about fun! Justin Montgomery and I were in the same boat. We ended up capsizing and performed our own water rescue. I loved every minute of it. Afterwards, we took a walk in the college woods. I took a much needed hot shower and got ready for a night on the town. Mr. Shannon and Taz picked me up and we went to Wasabi's for our company year end dinner. It was beyond yummy and it was nice to see all my coworkers one last time. I'm still full! Life is pretty great right now and I'm loving the college life. Until then, over and out.

Fun Fun Fun
Waking up early in order to be on time for a 9 am class today wasn't exactly the highlight of my day. Class today was very unconventional. We spent most of the time watching Youtube videos and playing interesting games. Mountain Challenge was definitely an experience today as well since it was all about team building. I was a little more than close to some people on that seesaw. Oh, and we had to put our entire team over a 6 foot beam, and graceful me slipped and fell off. Embarrassing at the moment, but humorous now. I've began to meet a lot of new people. Copeland Conversations was quite insightful tonight too and I learned a few tricks of the trade from Joey. Kelcey and Blane came by tonight and finished setting up her side of the room. Our room is looking pretty good! Tomorrow, I'm going canoeing down the Tennessee River and hiking in the college woods. I'm amped and ready for the experience. Until then, Go Scots!

And so it begins
Wow! Move in day was stressful and surreal. But the finished project is fantastic. Feel free to drop by and take a look. It's pretty weird since my roommate Kelcey cannot move in until Monday. But all of her things are already here, so our room is complete. My bed is lofted, and sleeping up high is a tad scary. But it'll work out great. Last night we had residence hall meetings and our RA, Seanny got us a cookie cake to munch on. It was delicious. My little corner is pretty cool. It's just me, Kelcey, Marissa, and Deborah. We all share a bathroom that has a very swell shower. I just love it here. My dorm is very chilly though, and I just realized today that I can actually control the temperature. Went and watched baby Isabel and Sophia today, then met Kelcey for lunch. My dad dropped by to see the room and now I'm just waiting around until 4 pm so orientation can start. College has officially begun, and I'm loving every minute of it. Until then, go MC!
